EU Sustainable Energy Week 9-13/2/2009

 EU-Kommissionen ordnar en vecka för hållbar energi över hela Europa 9-13/2 nästa år. Mycket händer förstås i Bryssel. Litauen leder med 3-1 över Sverige i nationella events. EU-Kommissionens beskrivning: Under the umbrella of the Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign (SEE), the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy and Transport, the European Institutions and major stakeholders concerned with sustainable energy are together putting on the third edition of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW). It will take place in Brussels, Belgium, and in other cities across Europe from Monday 9 to Friday 13 February 2009, although many side events are foreseen during the weeks immediately before and after.

The EUSEW is the key annual reference point for sustainable energy issues in Europe. The events organised during EUSEW cover key topics that highlight the multi-sectoral nature of sustainable energy development and stress the need for everyone to work together towards a common goal.

The EUSEW will officially take place from Monday 9 to Friday 13 February 2009, although many side events are foreseen during the weeks immediately before and after.

Energisession 2009 is the west Sweden meeting place for energy issues. Energisession deals with news about renewable, energy efficiency and economical development within the Västra Götaland region. Energisession is a two day conference with 12 separate half days session about different energy related topics. Here are new results within the region presented of development achievements and good practical examples. Examples of topics are; -new fuels for transport, -energy efficiency in the building sector, -solar electricity, -wind electricity, – the trade and industry role for changing to sustainable energy systems, -garbage a source for heating, -environmental innovations, -entrepreneurs for energy companies, -community planning for changing to new energy systems etc.  Energisession also has two plenary sessions with selected eminent speakers. Energisession is arranged for the fourth year and usually gets around 400 visitors. 2009 will Energisession be arranged in Skövde the 5^th and 6^th of February.
